MEZ – Experience since 1875

1875 Establishing a plumbing business, from which MEZ GmbH + Co. KG emerged
1960 Concentrating on the ventilation technology
1960 – 1990 Developing to become the worldwide leading provider of ventilation- and air channel connecting systems with nearly 200 patents
1989 The acquisition of the first laser cutting plant enables the production of complicated serial products made from sheet metal
1993 Taking over the metal processing plant of the machine constructor Index with their plant in Spraitbach
1994 Extending the business to include serial products made from metal and producing the first machine claddings

Separating off the section of ventilation technology
under MEZ-TECHNIK GmbH

Establishing the associated company PZ MEZ TECHNIK Sp. z.o.o for welding processes in Poland
1995 Dr. Bernd Mez takes over the management of Mez GmbH, focussing on metal processing for the machine construction industry

MEZ FRINTROP AG – Acting jointly since 2002

2002 Merger of MEZ and FRINTROP by uniting the core competences ”Engineering“ and “Metal Processing“

Implementation of an automatic sheet metal storage accelerates the production process
2008 Taking a new warehouse- and production hall into operation, creates 5000 m² of production space and 1100 m² for storage resp. 3300 m² high-bay storage surface
2012 The Assembly moves to a new location in Ofterdingen. The assembly area is extended by a further 1400 m2 completely covered by a crane and has now a capacity to accept large-scale orders
2013 Relocation oft the black pelt welding shops to Betzingen creates additional capacities

2015 Strengthening of top location by concentrating engineering and production on site

Spin-off of the Kornwestheim location and reorganization as MEZ GmbH
